A major focus of the work of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Clinical Research (IZKF) is to provide strong support for young researchers. The support programmes junior research groups and junior projects are directly aimed at young researchers and also fall within the scope of IZKF research grants. IZKF also funds additional support programmes for young researchers.
It offers laboratory rotations for young physicians involved in clinical practice who are interested in research.
The IZKF Graduate School provides doctoral candidates working at IZKF with a structured training programme and promotes networking in various different ways.
The MD-Thesis Scholarships are aimed at medical students working on their doctoral thesis. IZKF offers up to 18 scholarships of 773 euros per month, each for a period of 7 months.
The travel scholarships make it possible for IZKF's young researchers to work on complex scientific issues, conduct important experiments or learn the latest techniques and methods either in Germany or abroad for a maximum period of three months.
